What to Expect

At First Baptist Church of Tellico Village you can expect to find a

Loving, Welcoming Family of Believers.

On Sunday mornings we have two worship services

  • The first worship service begins at 9:00 a.m. and the second service begins at 10:30 a.m.

  • The 10:30 service is led by our choir, orchestra, organ, and piano and includes a mixture of traditional hymns, contemporary hymns, gospel songs, and familiar choruses.

  • The 9:00 service is led by our worship team, orchestra, organ, and piano and includes a mixture of traditional hymns, contemporary hymns, gospel songs, and familiar choruses.

  • Both services include scripture, prayer, and a Biblical message by our Lead Pastor, David Talley.

We also have Bible Study classes that meet at  9:00 and 10:15 a.m. For more information on our Bible Study classes click here.

We are Baptist in name and affiliation, but our church family comes from a wide variety of denominational backgrounds.

When you arrive on Sunday mornings...

  • You will be greeted by a member of our greeter team who will gladly give you directions to either a Bible study class or our Sanctuary for worship.

  • In our Sanctuary you will be greeted by an usher who will gladly give you a worship bulletin, assist you in finding a seat, and introduce you to those sitting nearby.

  • Between the two worship services, you are welcome to enjoy a free cup of coffee and a time of fellowship outside our Sanctuary.

  • Following our worship service, first-time guests are invited to visit our welcome center in the narthex where we have a gift for you.

  • At some point, you will probably have the opportunity to be greeted and welcomed by a member of our ministry team.

Although we are located in a community that is made up primarily of retired individuals, you will find that we gladly welcome people of all ages and demographics. We hope to see you soon in worship at First Baptist Church of Tellico Village.
